# Overview

This process outlines how to create a new EPC format, load the IHG Future SKU file, and apply standard EPC pricing rules. This is commonly used to update future pricing based on barcodes or product codes using a supplied CSV file.

# The Process

## Step 1: Create a New EPC Format

> 📝 **Note:** The **Format** and **Descriptions** may differ based on you companies requirements. This step is only required once, if a future SKU update import format already exist, go to Step 2.

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu **icon and navigate to **Inventory > Electronic Product Catalogue > EPC Import Format Maintenance** from the navigation tree.
2. Click **New,** at the bottom of the screen, to create a new import file format.

> ℹ️ Click **Find **to check if an **IHG Future SKU update** file already exists. If on exist, go to Step 2.

3. Enter the following import format header information
  1. **Format:** IHGFutureSKU
  2. **Description: **IHG Future SKU Update
  3. **File Type**: delimited
  4. **Delimiter**: comma
  5. **# Header Rows**: 2
4. Click **Add **to configure the import file format with the required **fieldnames** and **Column #'s **  
(See the table below for the required information).
5. Click **Save** to commit the changes.

> ⚠️ **Important:** The column numbers defined in your **EPC Import Format** must exactly match the columns in the **Future SKU Report** file you’re importing. If they don’t align, the import and pricing application may fail or produce incorrect results.

## Step 2: Add a New EPC Entry

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu **icon and navigate to **Inventory > Electronic Product Catalogue > EPC Dashboard** from the navigation tree.
2. In the search criteria **Supplier **field, enter your IHG supplier ID and click **Find** to see if there are any existing EPC entries for IHG.
  1. **Delete** any existing EPC entries for IHG
3. Click **New** to create a supplier EPC entry.
4. In the **EPC Maintenance Header **window, enter the following information
  1. Enter or select the IHG **Supplier **name or ID.
  2. Choose the **Format** created above for the **Future SKU Report**.
  3. Set the **Frequency** in which you receive EPC files from IHG.
5. Click **Save **to create the EPC entry ready for the file to be imported.

> ℹ️ **Note**: From the July 2025 release, multiple EPCs per supplier will be supported.

## Step 3: Import the Future SKU Report

1. Navigate to the [https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28402906](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28402906) screen.

> ℹ️ The EPC Maintenance screen automatically opens after creating an EPC Entry

2. Click **Actions** and select **Import** form the drop-down menu.
3. From the **EPC File Manual Import **window. confirm the **Supplier **and **Import Format’s **are correct,
4. Click **Select File **and using the **File Upload **window,
5. **Browse** your computer for the **Future SKU Report.csv** file you’ve been provided and **Upload **the file.

> ℹ️ Note: the file must be a CSV file format.

6. Click **Import**.

Wait for the system to process the file.

- A popup Frameworks notification will appear once the import is complete.
- Duration depends on the data volume—typically a few seconds to a couple of minutes.

## Step 4: Apply Future Pricing Rules

1. After the data is successfully imported, Click **Actions** and select **Apply **form the drop-down menu.
2. Configure the **EPC Stock Update** section as normal
3. Under the **EPC Stock Load Parameters** section
  1. Set the **Future Date** when the pricing should take effect
  2. Select the required **Branch to Update**.** **Leave blank for all branches.
  3. From the **Match Search by **menu select your matching method
    1. **Product** (default) or
    2. **Barcode **(recommended for improved accuracy)
  4. Enable the **Use Hierarchy** checkbox.
4. Enable the **Update Cost** > **Supplier** checkbox
5. Click **Submit **or **Schedule **the EPC Apply.

This will apply the standard EPC pricing rules using the imported data.

Once this process is completed, all relevant products will be updated with the future pricing matched by barcode (or product code), ready for activation on the selected future date.

> ⚠️ **Note:** Only Cost and Price Updates apply to Future. All other updates will be immediate.
