Overview The Activity Maintenance screen allows you to customise fields and text on tabs and windows throughout Frameworks. You can rename field labels, hide unnecessary fields, change field formats, and more. Site Customisation Watch the video below on how to customise your Frameworks. How to create a Site Customisation There are three steps to customising a screen or window in Frameworks. Step 1. Navigate to the Screen/Window Navigate to the screen or window you want to customise. This helps you identify which fields need to be changed. Take note of the fields you want to customise for step 3. Step 2. Find the Activity Name Determine the Activity Name so you can locate it in the Activity Maintenance screen. Use one of the following methods to find the Activity Name. Via the URL When you open a screen in Frameworks using the Frameworks menu, the URL displays the Activity information. Look for the text after the last full stop (.) in the URL. For Example: The complete URL for the Customer Maintenance Screen is -  http://YOURSITESSERVER ADDRESS/FWLive/Fluid.html#customerMain,srd,Frameworks.Activity.Receivables.Customer. CustomerMain The information required to find and edit the Activity is CustomerMain Via the Help menu Use the Support Information tab in the help menu to view the Activity Name. Right-click on a tab at the top of the screen or right-click on a section heading . From the menu, select Help . Click the Support Information tab to view the Activity name. Via your Browsers DevTools Use this method when customising popup windows where the other options aren't available. When you first open the DevTools, a window may open inside your browser or dock to the side. To change this view or open the tools in a new window, click the vertical ellipses and select a new style. In Frameworks navigate to the Step just before you open the popup and press  <F12>   In the DevTools window click on the  Network  tab In Frameworks click on the button/link that opens up the window. In the DevTools, scroll the  Name  section back to the top, as the Activity is one of the first commands called. Click on the  FluidAppServerProxy?... name and to the right of that, select the  Preview  tab. The  Activity will be displayed here. Step 3. Make the Customisations Add a new Site Customisation to amend an existing screen element. Click the Frameworks Menu , then navigate to System Administration > Screens & Menus > Activity Maintenance from the navigation tree. Click Find/Edit and search for the required Activity . Click the Site Customisation tab and click Add . Enter the required details for the customisation Select a SubKey From the SubKey drop-down menu, select the type of customisation you want to make. The most common customisations are: Item Format : Change the amount of text that can be entered in a field Item Hidden : Hide an unnecessary field from the screen Item Label : Rename a field to something more recognisable for your business Refer to the  Activity Maintenance User Manual, under Site Customisation, for more information. Enter the Name In the Name field, enter the fully qualified field name. The format is tableName.fieldName (for example, ttCust.custName). This field is case sensitive, so enter the name exactly as defined. To find the correct name, use the UI Definition tab: Scroll through the page and look for the matching "title" of the field you want to customise. At the beginning of the line with the "title", you will see the "name" of the field. This is the fieldName part required (for example, custName). Scroll up above the list of "fields" to find the "tableName" . This is the tableName part required (for example, ttCust). Define the Value In the Value field, enter the value for the customisation. Above the Value field, a tip displays what value is required based on the SubKey you selected. For example: Item Format : Enter the format string (for example, x(30) allows a maximum of 30 characters in the field) Item Hidden : Enter Yes (hidden) or No (visible) Item Label : Enter the new label for the field Click Save to commit the changes. Re-open the screen or window to confirm the customisation has been applied. Additional Information Refer to the Activity Maintenance User Manual for more information.
