The  Product Finder  allows you to search and add products to a range of transactions. The  Product Finder  also displays information to help you make better product choices, such as quantities on hand, on customer orders or on purchase orders, preferred supplier information, product type information, and more. Accessing the Product Finder Window To access the  Product Finder , perform the following: From the  Product Entry  sections on a quote or an order, you can open the multi-product selection window using the Search icon. In the  Search  field, enter the product you are searching for and click  Find . Click on the Product  Description  hyperlink for the product you would like added to the  Product Entry  section, where you finish adding the required details for the order. Navigating the Product Finder Window Once you have opened the  Product Finder  window, you can search and select the product you want to add to your transaction. Search Options You can refine your search for products in the Product Finders window by:  Branch : If you choose a specific branch in the  Branch  field of the  Product Finder , then the Qty On Hand, Qty on C/O & Qty on P/O for that branch are displayed, however if you select  All Branches , then this information is not displayed.  Refer to  About Schedulable Tasks  for further information on how calculate the On C/O and On P/O figures by running the Calculate Product 'On Order' Quantities scheduled task. Search Text : You MUST enter search criteria for the results to display.  You can also enter either the Supplier GTIN or Catalogue number, system will search and replace with the Product Code. If  FWProdBarSrch  is   enabled,   a product's barcode will be included in the searching of a product. This may cause more search results when searching with numbers. Stocked Only   products : Enable this to only display products that are marked as  Stocked  for the selected branch. Supplier   of the   product : If searching for a supplier from within the  Product Finder , you must enter supplier search criteria for the results to display. The  Product Finder  also remembers the previous search criteria entered by the user and re-displays the search criteria and results when the  Product Finder  is reused; however, it does not remember the criteria across the application, and if you exit the activity and start again, then the  Product Finder  criteria is cleared.  Search Results Grid The results grid displays all products matching your search criteria. The grid includes the following columns: Pref Supp? If products have preferred Suppliers defined, the Product Finder screen displays these via the  Pref Supp?  checkbox. Refer to  Product   Suppliers  in  Product Maintenance  for more information on setting up preferred Suppliers for a product. If a Supplier is not the preferred supplier of a particular product, a warning  "WARNING: Supplier [XXX] is not preferred for product [XXX]" . While if a supplier is not a supplier of a particular product, a warning is displayed with a message : WARNING: Supplier [XXX] does not exist for product [XXX]." Description Displays the  product description , clicking on the hyperlink will add the single product to the product entry area where you can then updated the quantity, UOM, etc before applying it as an order line. Product Displays the  product Id. Qty On Hand Displays the current quantity of stock on hand. RRP GST Ex Displays the recommended retail price excluding GST. RRP GST Inc Displays the recommended retail price, including GST. Product Type Displays the  Product Type , for example, Normal, Promotional, Run Out, Manufactured, Miscellaneous, special, etc. Branch Type Displays if the product is  Stocked  or  NOT Stocked  for the selected branch. Minimum Stock Displays the  Minimum Stock  level for the products as defined in  Product Maintenance . (ONLY available when the Product Finder is accessed via purchasing and receipting). Maximum Stock Displays the  Maximum Stock  level for the products as defined in  Product Maintenance . (ONLY available when the Product Finder is accessed via purchasing and receipting). Qty On C/O Displays the current quantity of stock on customer orders ready to be released. Qty On P/O Displays the current quantity on purchase orders ready to be receipted. CDF Src This will be ticked if this product is sourced through the Central Distribution Facility.
