Overview Tendering Payments  allows you to process any cash or account payments into Frameworks including payments from account customers, POS transactions or sundry receipts. You can apply many tendering types. For example, a customer can pay by multiple credit cards in one transaction or any mix of payment methods. To define new tender types for your Frameworks system, refer to  Tender Types . How to Tender Payments To tender payments, from the Tendering screen, perform the following: When the  Tendering  screen is displayed within Frameworks, any cash or account payments can be processed for many tendering types. Select a  Tender Type  received via the drop-down menu. Enter the  Amount  being paid for the selected tender type. The  To Pay ,  Total Tendered ,  Outstanding  and  Change Due  fields are automatically calculated. For Cash Customers and Cash Sales Click   to tendered the amount entered for the tender type. For multiple tender types, select the next  tender type , enter the  amount  and click  pay.  For Account Customers Click the   button to charge to the customer.  The  Account  field and  Charge  button are only activated if the tendering is for an Account Customer. When fully tendered, click the  Save/Close  button. Tendering Payments Screen To tender payments, perform the following: After you have processed the sale and clicked  , now tender the payment. Cash Customer If a cash customer , you have 2 options to tender the payment: Option 1: Click any of the buttons on the bottom of the screen with the tender type presented (if cash, select the exact amount tendered), then click    For cash amounts larger than the value defined for the System Setting - Amount  CshLndrLmt  the following fields will be displayed, Customer Name, Address, Suburb and States. These fields are required to complete the transaction.  Sterland is able to customise this section of the screen to your needs. For example, adding or removing buttons according to your tendering needs. Please contact  Sterland Support .  Option 2:   Select the tender type Select the tender type from the drop down arrow   in the   field, type the amount being paid and once the payment has been tendered, click  .  -+ The buttons in  option 1  and the tender types available via the drop down arrow in  option 2  display the same tendering options. Internal Reward Program If the tender type has been set up, points can be redeemed when tendering by selecting the program form the select tender type drop-down menu, type the amount being paid and once the payment has been tendered, click  .  Below the tendering options the is information about the number of points and the dollar value of these points. Cash Out If a customer requires cash out, click  .  Refer to  Cash Outs, No Sales Dockets & Crash Recovery  for further information. Account Customer If an account customer  and that customer elects to pay for the goods on their account, choose the printing options, then click  . The amount in the  Amount  field will be charged to their account. If this amount is the full amount of the transaction no further tendering is required. Mix of tender types For a sales transaction, you are able to tender payments with a mix of tendering options. For example, $20 cash & the remaining payment to be made via EFTPOS. Using Credit balance For cash customers, if a credit surplus exists on the account, a Credit Balance Available field will be displayed in the tendering screen and a corresponding tender type will be available from the tender type drop down. This credit can be used to pay for goods. Where a credit balance exists a  Credit Balance Avail  field will display the available amount, and a "Credit Balance" tender type will be available via the drop down payment types to allow you to select and apply the credit to the sale. When fully tendered, click  . Exceed Credit Limit If a customer wanting to charge the transaction to their account is outside their credit limit, additional approval is required. Refer to the  Credit Approval required  link below for a screenshot and a description of the information to enter into the Tendering screen under these circumstances If a sale is $1000 or more and the customer is not an account customer, the customer's contact details will need to be completed.
