# Overview

Log off your Frameworks session when not in use. This is good security practice,minimises unauthorised system use, and avoids data loss due to user sessions expiring during a task.

> ℹ️ Active Frameworks user sessions expire after 24 hours.

> ⚠️ **IMPORTANT:** Closing your web browser does NOT log you out of Frameworks. If you close your browser during a transaction, you may see a message, "*Changes that you made may not be saved.*" Clicking Leave will close Frameworks and may result in data loss. Click **Cancel** to finish your transaction and log out correctly.

# Logging Out of Frameworks

There are two ways to log out of Frameworks.

Before logging out, close all open tabs and ensure you've finished each task:

- Click the **x** on a tab header to close the current tab.
- Right-click a tab, then select **Close** to close the current tab.
- Right-click a tab, then select **Close All** to close all tabs.

## Via the Frameworks Main Menu

To log out via the Frameworks main menu:

Click the **Frameworks Menu**, then select **Logout** at the bottom of the menu.

## Via the User Details Menu

To log out via the user details menu:

1. Click the **Down Arrow** beside the logged-in user on the Home Dashboard.
2. Click **Logout**.

# Logging Out of a Mobile Device

Closing the Frameworks Mobile app does NOT log you out of Frameworks and has the potential for data loss for the same reasons as the desktop version.

To log out of Frameworks Mobile:

1. Complete and close the task you are performing.
2. Press the **Frameworks Menu** on the **Home** page to open the navigation tree.
3. Select **Logout** from the menu.
