Overview A product location represents a physical space within a site that an item of stock can be held in, for example a shelf or a bin. Using locations means it is possible to monitor how many items of a particular product are stored in a particular location at any one time. This makes picking inventory more efficient by indicating exactly where the picker needs to go to find the item. This process explains how to create and maintain Product Stock Locations in Frameworks. Create a Product Location To create a new  Product Location , perform the following: Click   and navigate to  Inventory > Maintenance > Product Locations Click   to add a new stock location. Enter the Location Header details into the  Stock Location Header  screen: Click  Save  to create the new Location. Add products to a Product Location Adding Products Manually To add products to a  Product Location,  perform the following: From the  Product Locations  screen click on the  Location  link to enter into the  Product Location Maintenance  screen. In the  Product  field search or enter the product ID to add to the location. In the  Quantity  field enter the number of labels required for this product at this location. Tick    Prime  if this is the primary location for the product. A product can only have one prime location set. Click     to add the Product to the Location. the Product will be added to the end of the list with the next available location sequence. Adding Products via .csv Import Users can mass add products to a location from the  Product Location Maintenance  screen, via an Import utility. To do this perform the following From the  Product Locations  screen click on the  Location  link to enter into the  Product Location Maintenance  screen. From the  Actions  menu select  Import . Locate and upload a prepared .csv file containing the product data ready to import. Click  Upload . The  Product Location File Import Review  screen will preview a list of all products to be imported.  Click on a products field to make any changes, resolve errors or delete products before adding them to the location. Click  Submit  to process the import and add the products to the Location.  The import will replace (not update) any products already in the Product Location  Maintaining a Product Location From the  Product Location Maintenance  screen there are several options available when maintaining product locations. From the   menu the following options are available: Edit Location Header Create Label Batch Refresh Import Copy Clear Lines Delete Location Option Description Edit Location Header Edit the header details for the Product Location. Details can be modified as per  Create and Maintain Product Locations#prodloc Create Label Batch Allows user to generate label batches as per  Label Batches  from within  Inventory  -  Maintenance . Refresh When selected all Product Location Data is refreshed. Import Import Products into the Product Location as per  Create and Maintain Product Locations#addprodim Copy Allows user to copy a location products from another branch. Search and the select the Location code you wish to copy from, then click "Use". The products from that Location will be copied to the new location (if products already exist in the current location the copied products will be appended to the existing list). Clear Lines Allows user to clear all product lines from the Location while retaining the location. Delete Location Allows user to delete the entire Location and the Products contained within. Maintain Products in a Product Location Individual products can also be maintained via the  Product Location Maintenance  Dashboard Entry screen. User the delete button   to remove a whole product line from a location  Or edit the product details via the pencil edit icon  . When editing a  Product Location Line  the fields that can be edited are the Location  Sequence .  Number of Labels , and  Prime Location .
