Tender a payment using a Windcave-connected PIN Pad so the customer can pay by card directly from the **Tendering** window.

## Steps

1. Process the transaction as normal, then open the **Tendering** window. This is available from the Point of Sale, Sales Orders, Customer Orders, Weighbridge Tickets and Sundry Payments modules.
2. In the **PAY** section, from the tender type drop-down menu, select **Windcave EFTPOS**.
3. Enter the amount being paid using Windcave EFTPOS and click **Pay**. The **To Pay**, **Total Tendered**, **Outstanding** and **Change Due** fields update automatically.
4. In the **Windcave EFTPOS Payment** window, enter any **Cash Out** amount required.
5. Click the **Tick** icon for the required card type and its associated fee.
6. Follow the prompts displayed on the **PIN Pad** and in the **Windcave EFTPOS Payment** window to complete the transaction. Refer to Understand the Windcave PIN Pad Prompts.
7. Once the transaction is approved, the **Windcave EFTPOS Payment** window closes. If the transaction is tendered in full, the **Tendering** window also closes automatically.

## Tender Using the EFTPOS Button

Use the **EFTPOS** button to tender the full outstanding amount with Windcave EFTPOS in one click, instead of selecting it from the tender type drop-down menu.

### Steps

1. Click the **EFTPOS** button. This requires Windcave EFTPOS to be set as the **Tender Type Default**; otherwise the button won't tender using Windcave EFTPOS.
2. Continue from the **Windcave EFTPOS Payment** window as described in Steps 4 to 7.

## Understand the Windcave PIN Pad Prompts

Frameworks checks the Windcave PIN Pad every three seconds for the transaction status. The same prompts display on the PIN Pad and in the **Windcave EFTPOS Payment** window.

- **Present/Insert, Swipe Card:** The customer taps, inserts or swipes their card. The transaction can still be cancelled from the **Windcave EFTPOS Payment** window at this point.
- **Account $XX.XX CHQ SAV CRD:** Displays the total amount to be tendered (sale plus cash out plus fee) and prompts the customer to select their account type. This prompt doesn't appear for card types that don't support account selection, such as Diners Club or American Express. The transaction can still be cancelled from the **Windcave EFTPOS Payment** window at this point.
- **Awaiting PIN:** The customer enters their PIN, or presses **Enter** on the PIN Pad to proceed to the signature step instead. If the customer proceeds to signature, you're prompted with **Signature OK? Yes/No** to confirm the signature is correct.
- **Processing:** Windcave and the relevant financial institution are processing the transaction. If the transaction isn't authorised, the relevant message displays on screen.

## Result

The transaction is tendered using Windcave EFTPOS and the **Windcave EFTPOS Payment** window closes. The printed docket includes the receipt information returned by Windcave, including the Windcave transaction reference number. ## Additional Notes

**Refunding a Windcave EFTPOS transaction:** When you process a refund and Windcave EFTPOS is the tender type, Frameworks checks whether the original payment included Reward points. If the original transaction was a partial Rewards and partial cash/EFTPOS payment, only the cash/EFTPOS portion can be refunded through the Windcave tender type.
