This process explains how to add a timber pack to a purchase order. Overview When raising a purchase order you have the ability to add Timber Packs.  Important:  Before you can proceed with these steps you will need to have performed the following  The ordering branch must be set as a  Wholesale  branch. (See:  Branch Maintenance ) To use Pre-defined pack sizes for a supplier and production source you will need to define these against the product (See:  Product Maintenance ) The timber product must be a tally product (See:  Product Maintenance ) Adding Timber Packs To add a Timber pack to a purchase order, perform the following: On the  Order Lines  tab, enter the  Product Id,  or used the  Product Finder,  to add the timber product. If the  Tally Entry Popup  checkbox has been ticked under the user's  User Management  screen the  Tally Maintenance  window will automatically open. NOTE:  Multiple Units of measure for a product or multi-select products will bypass the tally popup. Click on the   button to open up the  Tally Maintenance  Tick  the  Use Packs box  to make available the  Production  and  Pack Size  fields. Click on the  Production  drop-down menu to select a pre-defined production source. Once selected the  Pack Size  field will auto-populate. Click on the   button to add the  Number of Packs  and the  lengths  of timber. This will calculate the total Linear Metre (LM) Tick the  Random  box to advise the supplier that it is ok to supply a pack with a random lengths. Click   once complete. Each pack will be added to the product area as a seperate line. Continue to process the purchase order.
