# <span style="color: #003366">Overview</span>

An Assembly Location represents a physical space within the a warehouse where a Sales Order or Orders are allocated to, once the products are picked, in preparation for delivery or pick up. Available assembly locations will only be allocated orders for one customer at a time, unless the location is marked as a "Bulk" location which allows for multiple orders for different customers. Once a Delivery Date has been confirmed for a Sales Order transactions it can be assigned to a specific Assembly Location.

  


> ⚠️ **Important: **To allocate an assembly bay to a transaction via **Sales Order Header **there are a number of things that you need to take into account. These are:

# <span style="color: #003366">The Process</span>

Below is an simple outline of the process flow from Sales Order to Assembly Location.

> ## Create a Sales Order.

> ## <span style="color: #003366">Confirming the delivery date</span>
> 
> Upon clicking the **delivery date confirmation** Frameworks will automatically assign the appropriate **Assembly Location** to the **Sales Order**. The location can be viewed and conditionally changed on the sales order header tab.

> The sales order will be assign the most appropriate assembly location based on the below conditions:

> ## <span style="color: #003366">Un-confirming a delivery date</span>
> 
> Upon **un-confirming a delivery date**, the system will clear the assigned assembly location unless any of the following apply:
>

> 
> 
> > Macro (rw-step)
> 
> Find an assembly location where there is already an order for the same customer and project/job.
> 
> > Macro (rw-step)
> 
> Find an assembly location where there are no orders already assigned.
> 
> > Macro (rw-step)
> 
> The user can manually assign an empty or **Bulk **location if an auto allocation is not suitable.
> 
> > ⚠️ Auto allocation of locations cannot allocate to a ‘bulk’ location.
>

> 
>

> 
> Picking of the order has started.
> 
> > Macro (rw-step)
> 
> A picking slip has been printed.
> 
> > Macro (rw-step)
> 
> Any manufactured item on the order has been manufactured.

> ## Pick and Release.
> 
> When **Checking the Picking** of the Sales Order the picker is able to make an adjustment to the assembly location if required.

# <span style="color: #003366">Voiding a Sales Order</span>

Voiding a sales order will clear the assembly location for that order.

> ℹ️ On invoice of transaction the goods are removed from the location.
