The **Process Management Dashboard** allows you to manage tasks associated with customer orders and projects. You can edit task details, complete tasks, and track task progress throughout the manufacturing process.

# Managing Tasks

From the **Process Management Dashboard**, you can manage tasks in two ways: editing the task details or completing the task.

## Edit Task Details

You can update key task information directly from the dashboard.

1. Select the order from the calendar on the right-hand side of the screen.
2. Under the **Customer Order Details** section, click **Edit** next to the task you want to modify.
3. In the **Task Maintenance** popup, update the editable fields as required:

  - **Assignee**: The person assigned to the task.
  - **Due Date**: The date by which the task should be completed.
  - **Qty**: The quantity for the task.
  - **Status**: The current status of the task.
  - **Notes**: Additional information about the task.
4. Click **Save** to commit your changes.

> ℹ️ The **Description**, **ID,** and **Code** fields are non-editable.

## Complete a Task

When a task is finished, you can mark it as completed and record the completion details.

1. Select the order from the calendar on the right-hand side of the screen.
2. Click on the task you wish to complete.
3. Click the complete task button to open the **Task Completion** window.
4. In the **Task Completion** window, update the following fields:
  - **Qty*: **Update the quantity if required. Adjusting the quantity here will directly affect the calculation of manufacturing overheads and labour rates.
  - **Date Complete*: **Enter the date the task was completed. By default, today's date is populated, but you can change it using the calendar icon.
  - **Assignee***: Optional. Enter or edit the assigned person who completed the task if required.
  - **GP Variance: **Displays the Gross Profit Percentage variance between the estimated and actual GP%.
  - **Reason for Variance: **Select a reason code explaining why the GP% variance occurred. Depending on your credentials, you can configure this on **Miscellaneous Table Maintenance**.
  - **Comments: **Optional. Enter additional details explaining the GP% variance.

> ℹ️ **GP Variance**, **Reason for Variance,** and **Comments** only appear for detailing tasks when the calculated GP% variance exceeds the tolerance configured in System Settings - Amounts > [GPVarTol](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FSS/pages/154402821). When the variance is within tolerance, the task completes without these fields.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Refer to **[GP% Variance Tracking for Detailing Tasks](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/154206236)** for more information about this functionality.

5. Click **Save**. The task will be marked as **Completed**.

## Uncomplete a Task

You can reverse the completion of a task under the following circumstances:

- All estimating tasks can be uncompleted, if required.
- Production tasks can be reversed before the order is invoiced.
- When trying to uncomplete a production task after the order is invoiced, the Detailing and Manufacturing tasks cannot be reversed, and an error message will be displayed.

To reverse completion of a task:

1. Select the order and then the task you wish to uncomplete.
2. Click the uncomplete task button.
3. The **Task Completion** window will open.
4. Click **Save**. This will reverse the task closure and mark the task as **In Progress**.
