## Create a Standard Task

> 📝 ### Prerequisites
> 📝
> 📝 - Access to Production Scheduling module
> 📝 - Administrator permissions for Standard Task Maintenance
> 📝 - Plants configured in [Plant Maintenance](https://kb.myframeworks.com.au/space/CO/30508918) (if assigning tasks to specific plants)

## Steps

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** and navigate to **Production Scheduling > Maintenance > Standard Task Maintenance**, or type **Standard Task Maintenance** in the search.

## Edit a Standard Task

> 📝 ### Prerequisites
> 📝
> 📝 - Access to Production Scheduling module
> 📝 - Administrator permissions for Standard Task Maintenance
> 📝 - Existing standard task to modify

## Steps

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** and navigate to **Production Scheduling > Maintenance > Standard Task Maintenance**, or type **Standard Task Maintenance** in the search.
2. Click the task line you want to edit.

> ⚠️ ### Important
> ⚠️
> ⚠️ The **Code** field cannot be edited once the task is created. To change a task code, you must delete the existing task and create a new task with the desired code.

---

## Delete a Standard Task

> 📝 ### Prerequisites
> 📝
> 📝 - Access to Production Scheduling module
> 📝 - Administrator permissions for Standard Task Maintenance
> 📝 - Existing standard task to delete
> 📝 - Task is not currently assigned to active process models or production workflows

## Steps

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** and navigate to **Production Scheduling > Maintenance > Standard Task Maintenance**, or type **Standard Task Maintenance** in the search.
2. Click the task line you want to delete.
3. Click **Remove**.
4. Click **Yes **when prompted to confirm deletion.

## Result

The standard task is permanently deleted from the system. The task will no longer be available for assignment to process models or production workflows.
