# Overview

Voiding a sales quote allows you to remove/delete the selected transaction from the [Sales Orders Dashboard](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28391216). In addition to removing the quotes you will have the option to view and report on reasons why the quotes were lost or voided and if they were lost how much by.

# How to Void a Sales Quote

To void a sales quote, perform the following:

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu**, then navigate to **Sales > Transaction Processing > Sales Orders **from the navigation tree.
2. Enter the **Customer number **and** Type **and/or other advanced options in the search criteria fields.

3. Click the **Find** button to display all Sales Quote fitting the search criteria.
4. Click the appropriate **Order** hyperlink to open the Quote details.
5. Click the **Actions** button and from the menu select **Void Quote**.

> ℹ️ If the quote has expired, a message "*Quote has expired - Cannot Accept*" is displayed or if the customer is outside their trading terms, a message is also displayed.

6. In the **Void Sales Order **window, updated the following:
  - Select a **Void Reason **from the drop-down menu.
  - Enter who the order was **Terminated by** (the customers name).
  - If the **Void Reason** selected has been defined as a **Lost **quote the **$ Amount Lost By **field will be displayed for you to enter the amount in which the quote was lost to a competitor.

Then click **Confirm** to complete the termination.

7. The quote will be removed and you are returned to the Sales Order Dashboard.

# Viewing all Lost Quotes

Frameworks allows you to create reasons why Quotes or Orders are terminated or lost. When these reason codes are defined, you have the option of marking each one as lost or not. This allows you to keep lost quotes on record for historical purposes. If not marked as lost, the quote is permanently deleted. To setup reasons why Quotes or Orders are terminated or lost, type Reason Codes - Quote/Order Termination Codes into the Table field in [Miscellaneous Table Maintenance](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28401684).

To view all lost quotes, perform the following:

1. Click the the **Frameworks Menu**, then navigate to **Receivables > Enquiries > Customer Transaction Enquiry** from the navigation tree.
2. You can search for Lost quotes by:
  - In the **Customer ID **field enter the Customer ID or click the **Search** icon to open the customer finder OR
  - In the **Order/Invoice** field enter the Order or Invoice No.

Then click **Find** to updated the search result below

3. At the top of the results grid, in the **Transaction Type** filter column enter **Lost** to view all the lost quotes for the entered search criteria.

> ℹ️ The B/O number for Lost and Won Quotes is automatically set to 999.

4. Click the **Order/Invoice Number** hyperlink to view more information about the transaction.
