It allows you to take advantage of mobile scanning technologies to help speed up the stocktaking process and increase the accuracy of your stock counts. To help make the stocktake process faster we recommend using a mobile device with barcode scanner capabilities to scan. Refer to  Mobile FAQs  for additional information about mobile devices Create a New Stocktake To use the Frameworks mobile stocktake functionality, you will first need to create a new stocktake in Frameworks, from your desktop PC, as you cannot create a new stocktake from the mobile stocktake option. Click  then navigate to  Inventory > Transaction Processing > Stocktake from the navigation tree. Click   to open the  Stocktake Header  window. Enter the required details to start a new stocktake. The Location field, for both the desktop and mobile versions, is only available when the Full stocktake  option is ticked  when creating the stocktake. Click  and you will be then taken to the  Stocktake Maintenance  screen. The stocktake status will be  New. Click   to begin the stocktake and update the stocktake status to be  Entering  ready for product entry via a mobile device, with or without a scanner. Accessing the Stocktake on the Mobile Device To access the new stocktake on your mobile device, perform the following: Press the   button in the top left of the  Home  screen and select  Inventory > Stocktake  from the menu. Press  Find  to view all the currently open stocktakes for the selected branch. The  Branch will default to the branch assigned to the  Device Id Allocation.  If required, from the Branch  drop-down menu select the branch for you a preforming the stocktake for then press  Find to updated the search results. Product Entry As products are entered via the mobile stocktake entry screen, the stocktake in Frameworks will be updated and displayed as per the mobile device. All products entered via mobile stocktake are marked by default as Count Type - RT (real-time). The Pre-counted sheet  option is only available when completing the stocktake via Frameworks. There are 2 ways you can enter/count products for a stocktake on a mobile device Using a Handheld Mobile Scanner Once a stocktake has been started you are then able to begin product entry via your mobile handheld device with a scanner.  Important : When configuring your mobile handheld device with a scanner, set the scanner to  Tab after scanning. This will automatically take you to the next required field when scanning. If NOT configured you will need to < tab > or press  Next to move to the next field.  To start scanning products perform the following: After the product is scanned, if configured, you will be taken to the  Quantity  field to enter the quantity counted or the Tally  field to enter the quantities/lengths.  More information on Tally Products Refer to the  Mobile FAQs  for more information on how to configure a device's scanner to Tab after a scan is completed. Press  Next  on the devices virtual keyboard to move from the Quantity field to the UOM field. By default the stocking UOM is auto-populated. Press   to open the  Unit of Measure Finder . Press  Go,  on the devices virtual keyboard, or press  Save  to add enter the product into the stocktake. The product will be added to the  Review  tab. Using Manual Product Entry If you are using a mobile device that does not have a scanner you can enter products manually by: In the  Product  field, enter the  Product Id, Barcode  or press the  icon to use the  Product Finder  window to search for a product. Press  Next  on the devices virtual keyboard to move from the Product field to the Quantity field or the Tally  field to enter the quantities/lengths.  More information on Tally Products In the  Quantity  field enter the quantity counted then press  Next , on the devices virtual keyboard, to move from the Quantity field to the UOM field. By default the stocking UOM is auto-populated. Press   to open the  Unit of Measure Finder . Press  Go,  on the devices virtual keyboard, or press  Save  to add enter the product into the stocktake. The product will be added to the  Review  tab. Reviewing Product on a Stocktake Editing Products on a Stocktake To edit products on a stocktake from the  Review  tab, perform the following. Use the  Product  and/or  Location fields to refine your search for the product you need to edit. Then click  Find. Press  Save  to commit the changes. Deleting products from the Stocktake To remove a product from the stocktake, perform the following: Use the  Product  and/or  Location field to refine your search for the product you need to edit. Then click  Find. Once you have found the product press the  Completing the Stocktake You will need to Validate and Apply  the stocktake once products via Frameworks on your desktop Refer to the  Stocktake Maintenance Operator Guide for more information.
