Overview A diary note is a short message about a customer or supplier that is held on file. It is usually a reminder to take some action against a customer or supplier, for example, if a customer fails to pay an overdue account by an agreed date. However, it may be used for anything that you need to be reminded about. Depending on your security settings, you may have access to both Secured Diary Notes and General Diary Notes. On selecting the Diary Notes option for a customer or supplier, the screen you see next depends on your security access settings. How to Create a Diary Note To add a diary note, perform the following: Click Add Diary Note to create a new diary note. If available, select the appropriate Type of Diary Note from the list of options or search via the Search icon. Enter the diary note into the  Note field. If applicable, select the appropriate date for follow-up via the Date Picker . A reminder prompt containing the diary note is presented to the user in the Notifications  section of the  Frameworks Home Page  on the applicable follow-up date. Validation has been placed on the follow-up date field in Diary Maintenance so this field cannot be backdated. Enable the Secure checkbox if you wish to restrict access to this diary note to those only authorised to view secure diary notes. Depending on the logged-in user's security settings you may have access to both 'Secured Diary Notes' and 'General Diary Notes'. The messages displayed depend on your security access settings as defined in checkbox  Secure Diary Access  in   User Maintenance . Click Save to save the diary note.
