> ℹ️ You are able to create new MS Central Allocation customers via the **Transport Order Entry** screen (explained below) or via Customer Maintenance. > ℹ️ ## <span style="color: #003366">Creating a Customer</span>

> ℹ️ To create a new Central Allocations customer, perform the following:
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 1. Click > Macro (inline-media-image)
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️  then type **Transport Order Entry **(or select **Central Allocations - Transport Order Entry **from the Frameworks navigation tree).
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 2. Click > Macro (inline-media-image)
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️  beside the** Customer*** field.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 3. Type the *Customer Name, Postal Address, Suburb, State, Post Code, Phone, Fax and Email ID* into the relevant fields.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ If applicable, complete the following information:
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 4. Tick > Macro (inline-media-image)
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️  the **Order No. Required** checkbox if this Customer requires their Purchase Order numbers to be printed on their invoices.

> ℹ️ 5. Tick > Macro (inline-media-image)
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️  the **Casual Account** checkbox if this customer is a Casual Account. 
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ :info: By checking this check box, a 30 day account is setup. If the account doesn't have any open transactions on it after 30 days, the account will be closed during the end of month process.

> ℹ️ 6. Type* the number of the Sales Rep assigned to this customer* in the** Sales Rep No.** field or search via > Macro (inline-external-image)

> ℹ️ 7. Type the *Customer Group number* for this customer into the **Customer Group** field or search via > Macro (inline-external-image)

> ℹ️ :info: A Customer Group is a way of grouping like customers together, for example builders, plumbers and so on and are usually used for promotional purposes. This can be changed at any time.

> ℹ️ 8. Type the *Discount Group number for this customer* into the **Discount Group** field or search via > Macro (inline-external-image)

> ℹ️ :info: A Discount Group is a way of grouping customers together who attract the same level of discount. For example, builders may attract a 2.5% discount while plumbers may attract 5%. Multiple Discount Groups can be assigned to a Customer Group to allow flexible discounting.

> ℹ️ 9. Type t*he customers registered **[Australian Company Number (ACN)](http://asic.gov.au/for-business/starting-a-company/how-to-start-a-company/australian-company-numbers/)** which must be shown on a range of documents* into the** Aust Company No.** field.

> ℹ️ 10. Type the *customers registered eleven digit **[Australian Business number (ABN)](http://www.business.gov.au/registration-and-licences/Pages/register-for-an-australian-business-number-abn.aspx)** which*<span style="color: #444444">* identifies a business to the government and community*</span><span style="color: #444444"> into the </span><span style="color: #444444">**Aust Business No**</span><span style="color: #444444"> field.</span>
