Overview When the  receiving branch  creates a branch transfer via the Finalise Transfer process, a corresponding sales order is created in the  supplying branch.  It is then the responsibility of the supplying branch to pick, release and deliver the requested products to the receiving branch and the receiving branch responsibility to then receipt the stock into their branch. Receiving Branch Creating a Branch Transfer Order The receiving branch will need to create a  Purchase Order  for the branch transfer. To do this, perform the following: 1. Navigate to Purchase Orders Click the  Frameworks menu , then navigate to  Purchase & Receipting > Transaction Processing > Purchase Orders  from the navigation tree. 2. Create the Branch Transfer From the  Purchase Orders Maintenance  screen, you will need to perform the following: Click  New  to open the  New Purchase Order  window and create a new Purchase Order. In the  Supplier No. field,  enter a Branch Transfer Supplier No. for the branch you are requesting the transfer from, or click the  Search  icon to open the  Supplier Finder  window and search for it. Update the other internal branch transfer details as required, including the  Shipping Basis. Refer to  Create a Purchase Order  for further information. Click  Save  to create the  Purchase Order  ready for products to be entered. You will be taken to the  Purchase Orders Maintenance  screen. From the  Order Lines  tab, add the product information (including adding quantities and sizes for tally products) of the requested items to be transferred. Refer to  Add Products to a Purchase Order  for more information 3. Finalise the Transfer Order After you have added all the products required to be transferred, you will need to finalise the transfer order. Once finalised, the branch transfer Purchase Order is locked so that no additional changes can be made. To finalise the branch transfer order, perform the following: Click the  Actions  button and select  Finalise Transfer  from the menu. When finalise transfer has been selected, two things occur.  In the background: A linked  Branch Transfer Sales Order  will be created on the supplying branch. The  Branch Transfer Purchase Order  on the receiving branch will be marked as  Locked - Order Created  (restricting any changes from being made). A hyperlink to the  Branch Transfer Sales Order  will be added on the right of the purchase order screen. Where a branch transfer purchase order has been created via the  Linked PO  option within a sales order, the  Linked S/O  column will display the sales order number and a hyperlink to quickly access the sales order. Once the  Finalise Transfer  option has been selected, the  Branch Transfer Sales Order Details  window will be displayed. Here you can update some of the details of the branch transfer sales order for the supplying branch, such as Assignee : Click the  Pencil  icon to update/add an assignee for the sales order as well as any notes. A notification will be sent to the new assignee and a diary note will be added to the sales order. Description:  Enter a description for the transfer and it will be added to the  Transaction Description  field, on the  Header  tab, within the sales order for reference. Despatch Method:  From the drop-down menu, you can update the despatch method for the sales order. Print Picking Slip:  Enable this checkbox to print a picking slip for the staff at the supplying branch. Printer:  Select the printer for the print picking slip option. The printer will default to the Supplying Branches defined Picking Slip Printer or to the Supplying Branched NuVu Default Printer, if the Picking Slip Printer is not defined. Email Picking Slip:  Enable to email a picking slip to the supplying branches despatch department. On  Save  the  Picking Slip  email options window is displayed, allowing you to update the email details. Click  Save  to update these settings on the supplying branch's sales order. Notifications while the Order is with the Supplying Branch A  notification  is sent to the assignee of the branch transfer purchase order when changes are made by the supplying branch. The notification is provided when: The quantity of a linked product is changed on the Transfer Sales Order A linked product is deleted on the Transfer Sales Order A linked product is back-ordered on the Transfer Sales Order Refer to the  Supplying Branch  for more information on the processes of the supplying branch before receiving the transfer. Receiving the Transfer Closing a Branch Transfer Purchase Order A partially receipted branch transfer Purchase Order may be closed only when all active linked transfer Sales Orders are either released and receipted or it has been closed. Refer to  Closing a Purchase Order  for more information on how close a Branch Transfer Purchase Order. Supplying Branch Process Flow Stock Supplied via Branch Transfer The following process flow describes how users between the two branches should treat fully supplied, partially supplied, and modified branch transfer requests.
