| **Task** |

| From the **ProStix Main Menu** select **Inventory Management** then **Product Maintenance** then **Select Product**. |
| Enter the data entry field with the product code, alternate code, supplier catalogue number, product barcode or supplier barcode.  
Alternatively, press <F3> to search by a product description or other product information. |
| If an exact product match is found then the **Product Maintenance** screen appears for the product code entered. |
| Select **Update** from the **Options** menu. |
| A product description can be typed into the highlighted field. A maximum of 25 characters per line is available over 4 lines. |
| Press <F1> to save the new product description. The <F4> key can also be used to exit or cancel the update. |
