> ℹ️ To copy an existing Chart Of Account, from the home **Dashboard** perform the following:
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 1. Click > Macro (inline-media-image)
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️  then type **Chart of Accounts** (or select **Chart of Accounts** from within the **General Ledger - Maintenance **navigation tree).
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 2. Type part/s of the Chart Of Accounts description in the **Description** field, then click > Macro (inline-media-image)
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ .
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 3. Click the appropriate** Account No** hyperlink.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 4.  Click the > Macro (inline-external-image)
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️  button.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 5. Type a new Account Number in the** Account Number field**, then review and update all copied Chart of Account fields. Refer to [Creating a new Chart Of Accounts](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/fwksproau/pages/30510074) on the information to update.

> ℹ️ 4. Click > Macro (inline-media-image)
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️  once the modifications have been made.
