## <span style="color: #003366">Accessing Product Maintenance</span>

 then type **Product Maintenance**. |
| Search for & maintain existing products or create new products. |


## <span style="color: #003366">How to create a new Product</span>

| Click > Macro (inline-media-image)

 then type **Product Maintenance**. |
| Click > Macro (inline-media-image) |
| Add the **Product ID* & Barcode* **as needed.<br>**these can be automatically populated by Frameworks.* |
| Add the** Product Type & Product Description**. |
| Add the **Customer Description** as needed.<br>:info: These are used for shelf & product labels. |
| Add the **Product Group **&** Product Sub Groups** as needed. |
| Select the relevant **UOM**. |
| If a *timber tally or lm type product* & you want to turn on length validation, tick** **[Unknown Attachment]**Length Tally** and/or tick** **> Macro (inline-media-image)

** Length Validation**. |
| Select whether GST is to be charged on the product in the **GST Code** field. |
| Add the **Settlement Discount** details, minimum GP% requirements (**Min GP%** field) & rounding information (**Round Decimals To** field). |
| Add the **Standard Cost **of the product. |
| Add the** Gross Profit %** or **Unit Sell** price of the product. |

## <span style="color: #003366">How to create a new product via the 'Copy' function</span>

| 1 | Click > Macro (inline-media-image)

 then type **Product Maintenance**. |
| 2 | Search for the product by typing in relevant search criteria into the **Search** field, then click the <Enter> key. |
| 3 | Select the > Macro (inline-media-image)

button on the right-hand side of the product line. This open a 'Copy product' popup box. |
| 4 | Enter a new unique **Product ID,** change any other fields as required. |
| 5 | Click > Macro (inline-media-image)

 then type **Product Maintenance**. |
| Search for the product by typing in relevant search criteria into the **Search** field, then click the <Enter> key. |
| Click the relevant **Product **ID link to update the product.<br>** these can be automatically populated by Frameworks.* |
| Click the relevant section of the product to update it.<br>This includes **Key Details**, **General Information**, **Timber / Sheet** **Information**, **Alternate Codes**, **Product Branch **information (branch, branch stock & branch pricing information), **Product & Volume Discounts** & **Product Supplier** information. |
| Click > Macro (inline-media-image)

 to update the product detail. |

## <span style="color: #003366">How to delete a Product</span>

| Click [Unknown Attachment] then type **Product Maintenance**<br>*Note*: By default all records are loaded. |
| Search for the product by typing in relevant search criteria into the **Search** field, then click the <Enter> key. |
| Click > Macro (inline-media-image)

.<br>:info: If stock exists, or there are outstanding quotes or Sales Orders or an active stocktake exists, you are unable to delete the product. |

## How to Mass Update Products via CSV Import

The import function allows users to export current Product data out of Frameworks via excel, manipulate the data, then re-import via a .csv import option to mass update the Product file.

| **Step** | **Task** |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | Click > Macro (inline-media-image)

 then type **Product Import** |
| 2 | Available fields that can be maintained are:<br>![image](media://a4666c1b-f2f9-4ba1-9e78-13682e75398f)<br>:info: fields are all master level data not supplier level data<br>Select the field/s you wish to maintain (multi select using Ctrl + click) |
| 3 | Tick > Macro (inline-media-image)

 **Download Template Only (No Data)** to export just a template with no data (just header row), this will grey out the **Product To/From** and **Product group To/From** fields.<br>Alternatively leave unticked, and select a Product range and/or Product Group range to export. |
| 4 | Click "Download Template". Frameworks will generate a .csv file with the required data as selected above. |
| 5 | To re-import the Product data, click > Macro (inline-media-image)

. The File Upload pop up screen will be displayed. |
| 6 | Select File to upload, then click "Upload" |
| 7 | Tick > Macro (inline-media-image)

 "Report Only" to generate report only of changes without applying updates to the Product file. Otherwise leave unticked > Macro (inline-media-image)

 to mass update products AND generate a report of the applied changes. |
| 8 | Click > Macro (inline-media-image)

 to run the scheduled task to import the CSV. |
| 9 | Once the scheduled task has completed 2 files will be generated for review:<br>> Macro (nested-table)<br>Any errors will need to be corrected in the .csv file then re-import the .csv file again using the same process as above. |
