Processing a sales order with production scheduling integrates manufacturing tasks into the standard sales order workflow. The sales order process remains similar to standard orders but includes production task management before final order release.

> 📝 ## Prerequisites
> 📝
> 📝 - Sales order creation permissions
> 📝 - Production Scheduling module access
> 📝 - Process model configured with manufacturing tasks (see [Process Model Maintenance](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28402124))
> 📝 - Products associated with process models in the system

## Steps

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** and navigate to **Sales > Transaction Processing > Sales Orders** to create a new quote or order.
2. Add a product associated with a process model to the order. The system automatically adds the associated tasks to the **Tasks** tab on the sales order.

> ⚠️ **Line Comments and Task Notes:** When a manufacturing product is added to the sales order, any Line Comments and Transaction Descriptions are automatically added to the task notes. Line Comments and Transaction Descriptions can be updated on the sales order, but updates will not change the existing task notes.

3. Click **Save** to save the quote or order.
4. Navigate to **Production Scheduling > Transaction Processing > Process Management** to open the Process Management Dashboard and add components, estimates, and other details required for manufacturing.
5. Manage and complete all production tasks related to the quote or order, including estimating, detailing, and manufacturing. GL transactions occur when the manufacture completion task is completed (see [GL Movements and Production Scheduling](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28388302) for details).
6. Return to the sales order in **Sales > Transaction Processing > Sales Orders** and click **Pick & Release** to release the order. The GL movements reverse and the sale is complete.

## Result

The sales order is processed with all production scheduling tasks completed. The manufacturing process is finished, GL movements are reversed at order release, and the sale is complete.
