Manufacturing Plants define production facilities where frame and truss manufacturing occurs. Each plant maintains specific rates and charges for labour, overhead, and on-costs that apply to production calculations. This guide covers creating, editing, and deleting manufacturing plants.

## Create a Manufacturing Plant

> 📝 - Access to Production Scheduling module
> 📝 - Administrator permissions for Plant Maintenance
> 📝 - Plant code to identify the manufacturing facility
> 📝 - Description for the plant
> 📝 - Rates and charges for production cost calculations

### Steps

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** and navigate to **Production Scheduling > Maintenance > Plant Maintenance**, or type **Plant Maintenance** in the search.
2. Click **Add** to create a new plant.
3. In the **Plant Code (ID)** field, enter a unique code to identify the manufacturing plant.
4. In the **Description** field, enter a description for the plant.
5. Enter the plant rates and charges as required: **Labour Rate**, **Factory Overhead**, **Labour On-Cost**, **MFG On-cost**, **Detail On-Cost**, **Loading On-Cost**, and **Delivery On-Cost**.
6. Click **Save** to create the plant.

### Result

The new manufacturing plant is created and available for use in production scheduling. The plant's rates and charges will apply to cost calculations for production tasks assigned to this facility.

## Edit a Manufacturing Plant

> 📝 - Access to Production Scheduling module
> 📝 - Administrator permissions for Plant Maintenance
> 📝 - Existing manufacturing plant to modify

### Steps

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** and navigate to **Production Scheduling > Maintenance > Plant Maintenance**, or type **Plant Maintenance** in the search.
2. Click the plant line you want to edit.
3. Update the **Plant Code (ID)** field if you need to change the plant code.
4. Update the **Description** field if you need to change the plant description.
5. Update the plant rates and charges as required: **Labour Rate**, **Factory Overhead**, **Labour On-Cost**, **MFG On-cost**, **Detail On-Cost**, **Loading On-Cost**, and **Delivery On-Cost**.
6. Click **Save** to update the plant.

### Result

The manufacturing plant is updated with your changes. The updated rates and charges will apply to future production cost calculations for this plant.

## Delete a Manufacturing Plant

> 📝 - Access to Production Scheduling module
> 📝 - Administrator permissions for Plant Maintenance
> 📝 - Existing manufacturing plant to delete
> 📝 - Confirmation that the plant is not in use on active production tasks or process models

### Steps

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** and navigate to **Production Scheduling > Maintenance > Plant Maintenance**, or type **Plant Maintenance** in the search.
2. Click the plant line you want to delete.
3. Click **Remove**.
4. Click **Yes** when prompted to confirm deletion.

### Result

The manufacturing plant is permanently deleted from the system. The plant will no longer be available for use in production scheduling or process models.

> ⚠️ Verify the plant is not in use before deleting. Deleting a plant that is currently assigned to active production tasks or process models may cause errors in production scheduling.
