Approve and process a queued stock adjustment that was created by another user and assigned to you for review.

> 📝 ## Prerequisites
> 📝 
> 📝 - The approving user must have the **Approve Stock Adjustment** flag enabled in **User Maintenance**.
> 📝 - A stock adjustment with a status of **Queued** exists and is assigned to the approving user.
> 📝 - Access to the **Stock Adjustments** screen.

## Steps

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** and navigate to **Inventory > Transaction Processing > Stock Adjustments**.
2. Enter search criteria to locate the queued stock adjustment and click **Find**.
3. Click the **Adj#** hyperlink to open the stock adjustment.
4. Review the adjustment lines, quantities and reason code to verify the adjustment is correct.
5. Click **Approve**. In the **Approve Adjustment** window, In the **Approve Adjustment** window, enter the approving user's credentials and click **Save/Close**.

6. Click **Process** to finalise the stock adjustment.

## Result

The stock on hand quantities are updated for the adjusted products. Corresponding GL movements are posted to the general ledger. The stock adjustment record status changes to **Processed** and cannot be edited.

The **Process** button is only available after the adjustment has been approved. Once approved, the stock adjustment lines cannot be edited.

- **InvStkNaAl**: When enabled, allows narration override on stock adjustment reason codes.
- [FWStkAdjDefGL](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FSS/pages/13173921): When enabled, uses the Stocktake Adjustment Account for stock adjustments instead of the standard adjustment account.
