The system setting flag **FWProjectXML** defines which format is used. Contact [Support](https://kb.myframeworks.com.au/page/support) for assistance in creating quote templates. # Printing a Project Quote To print a project quote: 1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** and navigate to **Sales > Transaction Processing > Projects** from the navigation tree. 2. In the **Search Options** section, enter your search criteria: - **Project No**: Enter the project number (optional) - **Customer No**: Enter the customer number (optional) - **Description**: Enter keywords from the project description (optional) 3. Click **Find** to display matching projects in the **Results Grid**. 4. Click the **Project ID** hyperlink to open the project. 5. Select the **Job** that you want to print quotes for. 6. In the **Job Details** section, click **Print Quote**. 7. In the **Project Print View** window, configure your print settings: - **Print Settings** (top section): Select the required stationery format and output options - **Job Selections** (bottom section): Choose which jobs to include in the print output - **Show Prices**: Enable this checkbox to include prices on the quote. Click **Print** to generate the quote. ## Understanding Project Quote Output Structure When you print project quotes (Frameworks 6.2.2510.1 and later), the system generates several pages: - **Cover Page** - Shows the overall project summary with all jobs, sections, and totals - **Acceptance Page** - Formatted for customer sign-off. If your jobs use usage codes (like "Framing", "Roofing"), items are automatically grouped by usage within each section - **Summary Page** - Displays consolidated totals grouped by usage codes - **Individual Quote Details** - Shows the detailed line items for each quote The sorting and presentation can be customised using system flags including **SOPUsageBR** (sort/break by usage), **SOPUsageSBR** (sort by usage sequence), **PRJSectSort** (section sort order), and **CoverBlank** (suppress blank sections). ### How Grouping and Sorting Works How the output is organised depends on your system configuration: - **Grouping by usage** - Items with the same usage code appear together in separate sections (Format 20 quotes only) - **Sorting by sequence** - Usage groups appear in the order you've defined - **Section ordering** - Sections can be sorted by code (like "S01", "S02") or by name - **Hiding empty sections** - Blank section headers won't appear on the cover page > ℹ️ These settings are controlled by system flags (see the table below for details). For more information about Print Options, click here. | Print Option | Description | | --- | --- | | **Print Cover Page** | The cover page lists project details and cover page notes as well as job heading, section heading, individual quote numbers with description, value ex GST, GST value, value inc GST, section total, job total and project totals. | | **Print Acceptance Form** | Outputs the same detail as the cover page, except for a different title as well as the option to accept each job section quotation (NuVu picks this up and prints a different form).
> ⚠️ This print format requires a specific NuVu template `projectaccept.rbd`. If you do not have this template format, log a ticket via the [Support ](https://kb.myframeworks.com.au/page/support)Portal. | | **Print Individual Quotes** | Enable this option to print each quotation on a separate form. When disabled, a single consolidated output is printed. | | **Set Projects to 'Quote Submitted'** | When enabled, printing quotes will set the project status to 'Quote Submitted'. | | **Show Prices** | Refer to system setting flag **OrdQtePric**. | | **Output Type** | From the drop-down menu, select the output type of **Print** or **E-mail**. This defaults to **Print**. When **E-mail** is selected, additional email options will be displayed. | | **Quote Format** | From the drop-down menu, select the format of the quote you want to print.
> ⚠️ The quote format names are defined in **System Administration > System Setup > Stationery & Reports > Quote Templates**. A quote template will need to be created for each quote format. Contact [Support](https://kb.myframeworks.com.au/page/support) for assistance in creating quote templates. | | **Printer Address** | This option is displayed when the **Output Type** is set to **Print**. The **<>** printer will be displayed. Click the **Search** icon to use the **Printer Finder** window. | | **E-mail** | The email options are displayed when the **Output Type** is set to **E-mail**. The **Email From** and **Email To** fields are pre-filled with the logged-in user and the customer's email address. The **Email Subject** field is also populated. All fields can be edited as required. Enter a message in the **Email Text** field. |

- When enabled, Quotes set to NuVu Format 20 are sorted and broken down by Usage. - When disabled, Quotes set to NuVu Format 20 will not be broken down by Usage | | **SOPUsageSBR** | Quotes sort by usage sequence number.
- When enabled, quote printouts sort by usage sequence number. - When disabled, quote printouts will not be sorted by usage sequence number.
> ℹ️ **Note**: If both SOPUsageBR and SOPUsageSBR are active, SOPUsageSBR takes precedence. | | **OrdQtePric** | When disabled, the show prices in project quote print defaults to unchecked and no price is shown on the printout. | | **FWProjectXML** | When enabled, Project quotes will output as an XML document. | | **PRJSectSort** | Sort Project Quotes by section code.
