Adjust a customer's account balance to a General Ledger account when transferring amounts that don't relate to regular invoices or payments.

> 📝 - User permissions for Receivables transaction processing
> 📝 - Customer account exists in the system
> 📝 - GL account code for receiving the adjustment
> 📝 - Appropriate BAS code for the adjustment type

## Steps

1. Navigate to **Receivables > Transaction Processing > Customer To GL Adjustments**.
2. Click **+ New** to create a new GL adjustment.
3. In the **Customer ID** field, enter the customer code or search using the **Search** icon to select the customer whose account will be adjusted.
4. Enable the checkbox for each transaction to be adjusted on the customer account.
5. Enter the adjustment amounts:
  - **G/L Account**: Enter the General Ledger account code to receive the adjustment. Use the **Search** icon to locate the account.
  - **GST**: Enter the GST amount to be included in this adjustment.
6. Complete the remaining adjustment details:
  - **BAS Code**: Enter the BAS code using the **Search** icon if needed.
  - **Analysis Code**: Enter the analysis code if required, using the **Search** icon if needed.
  - **Reference**: Enter the reference text that will display on the customer statement.
  - **Narration**: Enter the narration text that will display on the journal entry.
  - **Adjustment Date**: The current date is defaulted. Use the **Date Picker** icon to select a different date if required.
7. Click **Create Adjustment Entry** to save the adjustment to the GL balance.

## Result

The adjustment is posted to both the customer's account and the specified General Ledger account. The reference text displays on the customer's statement, and the narration displays on the journal entry.
