# Overview

The **TradeNet API **allows Natbuild members to automatically download supplier EPC details to help better maintain that suppliers product records. Once updated you will be able to apply the product information as per the normal process of [Applying an Imported EPC File](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/fwksproau/pages/30530220).

> ⚠️ **Important: **Ensure that you have completed the [TradeNet API - Setup and Configuration](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28390468) before creating a new ECP Import for a TradeNet supplier.

# How to Setup a TradeNet Supplier's automatic EPC Import

To setup a new supplier EPC, complete the following:

## Create a New EPC Supplier Import Record

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** then navigate to **Inventory** > **Electronic Product Catalogue** > **EPC Dashboard** from the navigation tree.
2. Click **New** to open the **EPC Maintenance Header **popup window.
3. In the following fields, enter the necessary details:
  1. **Supplier: **Enter the supplier ID or use the
    icon to select a supplier.
  2. **Frequency: **Select **Daily, Weekly** or **Month** from the drop down menu. This frequency defines how often the EPC catalog will be updated. (See below)
  3. **TradeNet API: **Enable the **TradeNet API **check box.
  4. **TradeNet ID: **Enter the **Supplier's TradeNet ID**.
4. Click **Save** to create the supplier EPC. It will now be available on the EPC Dashboard, ready automatic import an EPC file.

## Setup an EPC Update from TradeNet

The **EPC Update from TradeNet **scheduled task is run for a single supplier and can is used to either download the supplier's full product range and/or to download any products that has changed since the last update for that particular supplier.

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** then navigate to **Inventory** > **Utilities & Scheduled Tasks** > **EPC Update from TradeNet** from the navigation tree.
2. From the **Import Criteria **tab define the following:
  1. **Supplier**: Enter the supplier name or Id for the supplier want to download the product listing from. This should be the one of the suppliers you have already created as an EPC Supplier Import record for. Click the **Finder Icon** to search for the supplier.   
**Note: **Leave the supplier field blank to schedule the task for ALL suppliers using the TradeNet API. If a supplier is selected then the task will only check for data related to that supplier.
  2. **Update Only: **Enabled by default, the updated only function will only update products that have been updated on the TradeNet database.

> ℹ️ **Note**: To ensure supplier EPC product details are kept current, a scheduled task should run daily with the **Update Only **checkbox enabled. Once the task has been run there Each supplier's EPC catalog will have a date for **Last Updated** and an update **Frequency. ** The task will check the current date against these values and the scheduled task will initiate the API call for any supplier that needs updating.

## <span style="color: #172b4d">Maintain and Apply the EPC as required.</span>

<span style="color: #172b4d">Once the products are added to the suppliers EPC catalog you can maintain the products as normal. This includes manually importing records if required.</span>

> ℹ️ **Tip**: Run the **EPC Update from TradeNet **scheduled task as a once off, with the update only checkbox disabled, for a specific supplier to completely refresh the whole EPC record for that supplier.
