**Speed Through High-Volume Orders This Holiday Season**

[Version 6.2.2510+]

The holiday period brings your busiest order entry weeks of the year. Promotional product collections, seasonal clearance items, contractor Christmas gift packs, year-end stock movements—your team is processing twice the usual volume while customers expect the same fast service. **Quicklists,** in Feature Release 6.2.2510, eliminates the repetitive product searches that slow you down, letting your team type a single keyword and instantly access pre-organised collections of products, grouped and sequenced exactly how you need them.

# Why Quicklists Matter During Peak Season

When order volume doubles, every minute counts. Quicklists transform ten-minute product searches into one-minute selections, giving you:

**Faster order entry:** Type "XMASCLEAR" and instantly access your entire seasonal clearance collection instead of searching for each product individually.

**Consistency across staff:** New staff or casuals can process complex orders without knowing your entire product catalogue—the quicklist already contains the right products in the right sequence.

**Fewer errors:** Pre-organised collections mean staff select from the correct products every time, reducing mis-picks and returns.

**Better customer experience:** Customers appreciate quick service, especially when they're ordering your promotional collections or standard contractor kits.

**Scalable efficiency:** Whether processing five orders or fifty, quicklists maintain the same speed advantage—the more orders, the more time saved.

# How Quicklists Work

## Keyword-Based Product Collections

Instead of searching through thousands of products, your team types a simple keyword (the **Quicklist Name**) in any product field. Frameworks recognises it and displays the **Multi Select Product Quicklist Finder** window containing only the products associated with that quicklist.

**You decide:**

- Which products belong in each collection
- How to group them (by category, size, brand)
- What sequence makes sense for your workflow
- Which quicklists stay active and which are seasonal

## Works Across Your Entire System

Quicklists aren't limited to one transaction type. They work wherever you enter products:

- Sales Order Processing (SOP)
- Point of Sale (POS)
- Kit Order Line Maintenance
- Purchase Requisitions
- Purchase Orders

Same keyword, same collection, consistent experience across your entire operation.

> 📝 ## Built-In Discovery
> 📝
> 📝 Staff can't remember every quicklist keyword? They type **/** (forward slash) in relevant product fields, and Frameworks displays all active quicklists with their codes and descriptions. It's self-documenting.

# Some Possible Holiday Applications

**Seasonal Runout Desks:** Create "CLEARANCE" or "ENDOFYEAR" quicklists for discontinued or overstocked items your team needs to move quickly.

**Gift Pack Collections:** Bundle popular gift items into "GIFTUNDER50" or "CONTRACTORGIFT" quicklists for rapid order entry during the gift-giving season.

**January Restocking:** Build "JANRESTOCK" quicklists for products that always run low during the shutdown, making post-holiday purchase orders faster.

**Promotional Displays:** Create quicklists matching your physical promotional displays so counter staff can quickly enter what customers see on the floor.

**Tradie Kits:** Standard material collections for residential rough-ins, commercial fitouts, or renovation packages—organised once, used repeatedly.

# Simple Setup, Immediate Results

## For System Administrators

System administrators create and manage quicklists through **Inventory > Maintenance > Quicklist Maintenance**. The interface provides complete control over:

- Creating new quicklists with unique keywords
- Adding products with optional grouping and sequencing
- Activating or deactivating quicklists (perfect for seasonal collections)
- Bulk operations via Import/Export for large-scale management

**Important:** Quicklist keywords cannot begin with "/" as this character triggers the quicklist browser. Both quicklist names and group names convert to uppercase automatically, preventing duplicate entries with mixed cases.

## For Your Team

Staff who know how to enter products already know how to use quicklists. No additional training complexity:

1. Start entering a product on any transaction
2. Type the quicklist keyword instead of a product code
3. Select products from the organised collection
4. Adjust quantities as needed
5. Complete the transaction normally

That's it. The system does the rest.

# Don't Wait Until January

The holiday period is your opportunity to see quicklists deliver real time savings when order volume matters most. Businesses that set up quicklists now will process December orders faster, train casual staff more effectively, and start the new year with established efficiency gains.

With Quicklists, you can:

- Create your first collection in under an hour
- Deploy across all transaction types immediately
- Build additional quicklists as you identify patterns
- Deactivate seasonal collections when they're no longer needed

**The question isn't whether quicklists save time—it's how much time you'll save once your team starts using them.**

Set up your first quicklist this week, and you'll be processing holiday orders faster before the December rush peaks.
