Tired of hunting down quotes, orders, or statements across emails or shared drives? With the Document Storage function in Frameworks, you can store and access attachments exactly where you need them — linked directly to the transactions that matter.

Storing these documents directly in Frameworks gives your team faster access, more streamlined workflows, and better visibility into both customer and supplier activity

No more digging through folders or chasing down paperwork. Document Storage keeps everything centralised, accessible, and right at your fingertips — whether you're working in Sales, Purchasing, or Accounts.

**It’s smarter, faster, and built right into Frameworks.**

# Linking your emailed Documents to Transactions

When a document is emailed from Frameworks, for example, a Quote or Invoice, the attached file is automatically stored. You can then access it later using the Attachments link available within various screens throughout the system.

> ℹ️ **Note: **Documents outputted as a PDF are also stored as an attachment to the transaction.

All stored documents are managed via the **Attachments** function within Frameworks, this means:

- **Full visibility** of every piece of customer communication.
- **Quick retrieval** of any document directly from the transaction screen.
- **Improved audit trails**, showing exactly when and by whom each document was uploaded.

### On‑Premise Users: Set Up an AWS S3 Storage Bucket

If you’re running Frameworks on‑premise, there’s one important setup step to complete before you can start taking advantage of it. To enable the enhanced attachment storage in an on‑premise environment, you’ll need to configure access to an AWS S3 storage solution.

The setup includes:

1. [Create an Amazon S3 bucket](https://frameworks-kb.refined.site/space/FRAM/28377956/Setting+up+AWS+S3+buckets+to+store+Frameworks+Attachments#Creating-an-AWS-S3-Bucket) for Frameworks to use.
2. [Enter the bucket details and credentials](https://frameworks-kb.refined.site/space/FRAM/28377956/Setting+up+AWS+S3+buckets+to+store+Frameworks+Attachments#Setting-up-Attachments-to-use-S3-Buckets) into the Frameworks system configuration.
